About FindeAlicante
FindeAlicante gathers the province of Alicante's plans in one place — an events agenda plus hand-written guides, in nine languages. No paywall, no intrusive ads, no paid posts dressed up as recommendations.
Who's behind it
I'm Max — Ukrainian, recently moved to Spain, and I code this site myself as a hobby. When I started looking for things to do around the province on weekends, I found local agendas that were genuinely well run — but all of them Spanish-only, which makes sense, since that's who they were built for. The trouble is most people visiting this coast don't read Spanish. So I built, solo and in my spare time, the multilingual agenda that was missing, plus the guides I'd hand a friend before their first trip to Alicante.
Why it exists
The province of Alicante logs 18.55 million overnight stays a year, and 58.4% of them are foreign — mostly from the UK, France and Germany (Spain's national statistics office, INE). The local events agendas are solid, but Spanish-only, so that foreign majority is left with almost nothing written for them. FindeAlicante fills that gap, for free, without selling your data. If it's useful to you, a voluntary donation helps keep it going.
How we check events
Before anything goes live on the agenda:
- We look for at least a second source confirming the first.
- We link the organizer's or venue's own site whenever one exists, so you can double-check yourself.
- A single-source tip gets a human read before it's published.
- Nothing lingers past its date — events drop off the agenda on their own.
We don't sell tickets and we don't run any of this — always confirm date, time and price on the official source before you head out.
What's already happened
Past events aren't deleted, just moved out of the live agenda — you'll find them in the events archive.
The guides
Beyond the agenda there are hand-written guides to towns, beaches, hiking routes and fiestas across the province — from Alicante's own Hogueras de San Juan to the Moros y Cristianos in Alcoy, plus Tabarca, the Palmeral in Elche and Xixona's turrón — written after actually going, not copied from a press release.
FindeAlicante has a sister site, FindeValencia, doing the same thing for the rest of the Comunitat Valenciana.
