Racó del Conill (La Vila Joiosa)
A narrow cove between cliffs north of Villajoyosa, split in two by a rocky outcrop, with a naturist tradition and very clear water — the town's pick for something wild without straying far from the centre.
Racó del Conill lies around five kilometres north of La Vila Joiosa's town centre, on a stretch of coast cut by cliffs and low pine and scrub. It's a small cove, under a hundred metres wide, split roughly in half by a rocky outcrop; the water is very clear and the largely rocky seabed makes it a popular spot for snorkelling.
It's reached by a paved road, with a sizeable parking area at the back of the cove, so there's no long walk in from the car. It carries a clear, long-established naturist tradition, though that doesn't rule out anyone who'd rather keep a swimsuit on. There are no beach bars or promenade here — the draw is the rock, the pines and the clear water, not the services.
